Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Amherst, MA (2 days on-site, Mondays & Thursdays)

Our client, a global manufacturing organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its corporate accounting team near Amherst, MA. This is a hands-on role supporting the month-end close process, general ledger activity, and financial reporting within a growing, multi-entity environment.
This opportunity is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting while gaining exposure to a dynamic, global organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances
- Support intercompany transactions and ensure proper recording
- Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules
- Partner with internal teams to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Maintain and improve accounting processes and documentation
- Utilize Excel and ERP systems to manage and analyze financial data
The organization operates across multiple entities and systems, offering exposure to a variety of accounting functions and processes in a collaborative environmen
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1–3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger and month-end close processes
- Familiarity with U.S. GAAP
- Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.) preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and strong attention to detail
