Contract role- 4-6 months to cover a maternity leave. Onsite in Miami/Blue Lagoon area. Must know Oracle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close.
- Perform bank, credit card, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Review accounting transactions for accuracy and proper coding.
- Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed.
- Reconcile customer and vendor accounts and research discrepancies.
- Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and account analysis.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Assist with cash management and cash forecasting activities.
- Review and reconcile payment activity, refunds, and other financial transactions.
- Assist with audit and tax requests by providing supporting documentation.
- Identify discrepancies and work with internal departments to resolve accounting issues.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2–5+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong experience with general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR, and month-end close.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP/accounting systems required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large data sets, formulas, and pivot tables.
- Experience with financial reporting and account analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Hospitality, travel, or multi-entity accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
