Staff Accountant


Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000
Location: Orlando, FL | Onsite

Must be based in or within commuting distance of the Greater Orlando area.

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant



  • Prepare monthly financial statements and budget-to-actual reporting for assigned entities

  • Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Manage the full accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor communications

  • Coordinate accounts receivable activities, billing, collections, and account reconciliations

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

  • Support annual financial audits by preparing schedules and working directly with external auditors

  • Monitor budgets and assist with ongoing budget management activities

  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies while maintaining strong internal controls

  • Communicate professionally with clients and external stakeholders regarding financial matters

  • Assist with special projects and continuous process improvements



Qualifications for the Staff Accountant



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required

  • 2–3 years of progressive accounting experience

  • Experience with financial statement preparation, reconciliations, AP, AR, and month-end close

  • Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

  • Government, fund accounting, professional services, or public accounting experience is a plus

  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements
