Staff Accountant

Job Summary

Meador, an Openwork Company, are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant. Located in Pasadena, this role supports a variety of accounting functions, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. This is a flexible, hands-on role for someone with full-cycle accounting experience who can work independently, manage changing priorities, and provide support wherever needed within the accounting department.

Responsibilities

• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy.

• Reconcile company credit card transactions, review supporting documentation, and prepare related journal entries.

• Complete bank reconciliations and identify and resolve differences between bank statements and accounting records.

• Assist with recording and reconciling cash receipts as needed.

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries to maintain accurate general ledger accounts.

• Provide support with financial reporting, accounting schedules, and other administrative accounting tasks.

• Assist with month-end close activities and additional accounting projects as needed.

• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous full-cycle accounting experience.

• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and journal entries.

• Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations.

• Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues independently.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.

• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to adapt to changing responsibilities and work with minimal supervision.

Location: Pasadena, TX
Pay: $26-$28 DOE
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
