Reporting directly to the Controller, the Staff Accountant plays a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records to monitor the company's financial activities, including assets, liabilities, profits, tax obligations, and related matters.<\/span><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>

Requirements:<\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/p>

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Accounting from a four -year college or university.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Five (5) years of experience in Accounting or Finance.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • At least two (2) years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Proficiency meeting the required competency level.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Competency Matrix.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Consistent demonstration of the company's core values.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Key Responsibilities:<\/span><\/b>
    <\/span><\/p>

    • Conduct reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy and rectify any identified errors.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Execute month -end close processes promptly and accurately as assigned.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Prepare, analyze, and present financial trends and information to management.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Complete annual working papers for CPA review/audit, company appraisal, and ESOP Administration.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Serve as backup for the Accounting Specialist when necessary.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Update the company's forecast software under the guidance of the Controller.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Identify potential cost -saving opportunities through financial trend analysis.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Review, verify, and upload payroll reports into the ERP system.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Process new fixed assets in the FAS software and maintain associated records for accurate recording of purchases.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Keep long -term debt worksheets updated and current.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Conduct inventory reconciliations for spot checks and cycle counts, providing analytical insights to the Controller and Inventory Control Specialist.<\/span>
