Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $35.00 to $45.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with generating financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support audits by gathering documentation and responding to requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain and update schedules for assets, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure proper allocation and recording of transactions across systems.

• A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet tools and accounting software applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and external partners.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CPA or similar) is preferred or in progress.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial operations roles.
• Familiarity with audit processes and compliance requirements.
• Experience with nonprofit or grant accounting.
