Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location (City, State): Santa Fe Springs, CA

Pay: Salary range $65,000-75,000/yr

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team within a well-established retail organization. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 3+ years of experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment and supporting month-end close and financial reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end close, including preparation and posting of journal entries
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
• Reconcile cash and bank activity and investigate variances
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and monthly depreciation tracking
• Support rent/store accounting and related payment processes
• Assist with audit preparation and provide documentation for external auditors
• Contribute to process improvements and support the ERP transition to NetSuite

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar preferred)
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Experience in retail, multi-location, or high-transaction environments is a plus
