Position Summary – Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will manage transactional accounting activities centered on AR functions while supporting accurate cash flow and customer setup. This Staff Accountant role offers meaningful ownership, system exposure (Syspro), and the chance to expand skills beyond a narrow AR scope. The Staff Accountant will also cross‑train with AP to ensure team coverage during vacations and peak periods.

Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant

• Perform transactional, day‑to‑day accounting duties including customer invoicing using Syspro
• 
  
• Complete cash reconciliations and follow up on variances and outstanding items
• 
  
• Process new account applications including credit checks and credit references
• 
  
• Support project‑based invoicing activities and complete freight reconciliations
• 
  
• Cross‑train with Accounts Payable to provide mutual backup and coverage
• 
  

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant

• 
  
• Experience in an AR‑focused Staff Accountant or accounting role
• 
  
• Strong attention to detail with consistent follow‑through
• 
  
• Comfort working in an ERP environment (Syspro a plus)
• 
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a transactional setting
• 
  
• Associate’s degree (AA) strongly preferred
•
