Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will work closely with legal operations, human resources, and administrative teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely reconciliations, and efficient accounting workflows.This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys operational accounting, problem-solving, and process improvement while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.What You'll DoReconcile bank, cash, and credit card accounts monthly to support accurate month-end close proceduresEnsure QuickBooks Online transactions are synced, reviewed, and accurately recorded in the general ledgerPrepare and post month-end journal entriesMaintain accurate coding and reconciliation of profit and loss and balance sheet accountsMonitor and facilitate timely processing of firm expensesProcess semi‑monthly payroll and related journal entriesCoordinate accounts payable processing and periodic check runsAssist with communication and reporting related to case cost funding and banking relationshipsReconcile trust accounts, lines of credit, and related balancesReview and reconcile subrogation, settlement, and disbursement balancesAssist with audit preparation, supporting schedules, and requested documentationIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and workflow efficiencyWhat We're Looking For2–3+ years of operational accounting experienceStrong understanding of cash and accrual accounting principlesExperience with accounts payable, payroll, account reconciliations, and general ledger processesExperience preparing audit schedules and supporting documentationStrong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks OnlineExperience with cloud-based accounting or ERP systemsAbility to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teamsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience working in a law firm or legal environment preferred but not requiredFamiliarity with legal accounting workflows, trust accounting, and case cost management is a plusExperience with accounts payable automation tools and workflow automation platforms preferredCompensation & Benefits$31–$36/hour (DOE)Medical InsurancePaid Time Off401(k) PlanLong-Term Disability InsuranceShort-Term Disability InsuranceLife InsuranceWhy This Role Stands OutDirect exposure to accounting operations and financial reportingOpportunity to work closely with executive leadership, including the Chief Financial OfficerExposure to payroll, accounts payable, reconciliations, audits, and operational accounting processesStable, full‑time position with opportunities for professional growthCollaborative team environment focused on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvementAbout Dubin Law GroupDubin Law Group is a growing personal injury law firm committed to professionalism, operational excellence, and exceptional client service.
