Staff Accountant

About the Opportunity

Are you a recent accounting graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to build your experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting operations? We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team and support a variety of accounting functions while gaining hands-on exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, audits, and month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Prepare and post general ledger, bank, and payroll journal entries.
• 
  
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
• 
  
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• 
  
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• 
  
• Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and reports.
• 
  
• Help gather documentation and schedules for annual audits.
• 
  
• Analyze financial data and identify unusual variances.
• 
  
• Collaborate with departments across the organization to improve financial reporting and processes.
• 
  
• Participate in special projects and other accounting duties as assigned.
• 
  

Qualifications

Required

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• 
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• 
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• 
  
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• 
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• 
  

Location: South Bend, IN
Pay: 65k-70k
