Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant

• 
  
• Manage AP and AR activities for assigned properties within a shared portfolio.
• 
  
• Process approved payments and verity that checks match invoice payees and the correct paying entity.
• 
  
• Deposit incoming checks and apply receipts to the appropriate accounts.
• 
  
• Post charges and review aging information to support accurate property accounting.
• 
  
• Coordinate with property accounting, property management and leasing colleagues to resolve questions
• 
  

Experience Required for the Staff Accountant

• 
  
• 2+ years of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
• 
  
• Understanding of payment processing and cash application.
• 
  
• Ability to learn new accounting software and processes.
• 
  
• Strong communication and teamwork skills when working with accounting and non-accounting colleagues.
