This role offers breadth that goes well beyond a traditional property accounting position. You will work across multiple legal entities with layered ownership structures, support real estate development and acquisition activity, and gain exposure to multi-entity corporate accounting.The Runnymede Corporation is a commercial real estate development, investment, and management firm headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia. We own, develop, acquire, and manage a diverse portfolio that includes Class A office buildings, office/warehouse properties, and light industrial assets. Our accounting team works directly with leadership, operations, property management, and development personnel across multiple legal entities and states.We are looking for a Staff Accountant who is genuinely curious about the work, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and holds themselves to the same standard whether the work is routine or high-visibility.What You Will DoSupport multi-entity corporate accounting and financial reporting across assigned legal entities and related propertiesPrepare and post journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and produce monthly, quarterly, and annual close deliverablesReconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and tenant ledgersPrepare budget-to-actual variance analyses and support annual budgeting and forecastingMaintain fixed asset records, calculate CAM estimates, and complete annual CAM reconciliationsMaintain vendor records in support of internal control requirementsPrepare and maintain organized workpapers for financial reviews, lender requests, and tax complianceSupport development, acquisition, and redevelopment accounting activities as assignedWhat We Are Looking ForBachelor's degree in accounting or finance1 to 3 years of accounting experience; real estate or public accounting background preferredStrong Excel skills; Yardi Voyager experience is a plusDemonstrated ability to investigate issues independently and apply sound professional judgmentResourceful and self-directed; comfortable building and improving processesReceptive to feedback and committed to applying itIntellectually curious; wants to understand the business impact behind the numbers, not just complete the task#J-18808-Ljbffr
