Staff Accountant

A growing corporate finance team is seeking a Staff Accountant to support month-end close, general ledger activities, and internal financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, proactive, and looking to build a long-term career path toward Senior Accountant. Base salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 + 10% bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the corporate month‑end and quarter‑end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and consolidation activities.
  

• Assist with judgmental accounting areas and balance sheet/expense analyses.
  

• Prepare variance analysis and internal financial reporting for management.
  

• Partner with external auditors on quarterly reviews, annual audits, and SOX testing.
  

• Maintain and update corporate accounting policies and internal controls.
  

• Contribute to ERP process knowledge, training, and improvements to close procedures.
  

• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen internal controls.
  

• Provide cross‑department support on accounting-related requests and special projects.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  

• 1+ year of corporate accounting experience.
  

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles.
  

• Experience with month‑end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with large data sets.
  

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with non-financial stakeholders.
  

• Proficiency in Excel; experience with Tier 1 ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) a plus.
  

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict close deadlines.
  

• Team‑oriented mindset with a desire to learn, grow, and take ownership.
