I'm currently partnered with a multi-million-dollar manufacturing organization near Woodridge, Illinois, that is looking to add a Staff Accountant to its growing team.

Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional collaboration with C-suite executives. The Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the business unit, including month-end close activities, accounts receivable and accounts payable, cash flow monitoring, treasury-related functions, and financial reporting.

Description

• Support the Accounting Manager on day to day accounting functions.
• Support the month end process.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Review AR and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Review the balance sheet and P&L to ensure accounts are accurate and properly classified.
• Monitor cash flow and treasury needs to ensure sufficient cash is available.
• Perform account reconciliations and assist with journal entries.
• Handle ad hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed.
• Provide general support across the accounting function.

Profile

A successful 'Staff Accountant' should have:

• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
• Experience supporting month-end close activities.
• Ability to review financial records and identify discrepancies.
• Ability to prepare clear accounting schedules and supporting documentation.
• Comfort working with financial data and internal reports.
• Ability to manage routine accounting tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Offer
