Role Summary
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team supporting day to day financial operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, contributing to core accounting processes, and maintaining high levels of accuracy across multiple financial functions.

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in month end close, reconciliations, and reporting, while also supporting trust accounting and operational accounting activities. This individual will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly and ad hoc financial reports
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations
• Support month end close processes and review account activity
• Reconcile work in progress and assist with related tracking
• Monitor and manage trust account activity including settlement checks, retainers, and unapplied cash
• Track COBRA related activity and maintain accurate records
• Assist in maintaining accurate financial data within accounting systems
• Contribute to process improvement and support system transitions

Key Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 10 plus years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong experience with general accounting processes including reconciliations and month end close
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience working within accounting systems and paperless environments
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and perform in a fast paced environment
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with professionals across the business
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
• Positive, team oriented attitude and willingness to learn
