Staff Attorney

About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing organization, is seeking a Staff Attorney to serve as a trusted legal advisor supporting corporate governance, real estate, compliance, contracts, and strategic business initiatives. This role will work closely with executive leadership while overseeing legal operations and managing relationships with outside counsel.

Summary

The Staff Attorney will provide legal guidance across multiple business functions, support real estate and corporate matters, oversee legal compliance efforts, and serve as a strategic partner to leadership. This position offers the opportunity to lead a small legal team while helping shape organizational growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to executive leadership and operational teams.
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and legal agreements.
• Support corporate governance and compliance initiatives.
• Oversee legal matters related to real estate, development, and business operations.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel and legal vendors.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the organization.
• Assist with litigation strategy and legal risk management.
• Supervise legal support staff and departmental operations.
• Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and organizational growth efforts.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in California, Texas, Arizona, or New Mexico.
• Minimum of 2 years of legal experience preferred.
• Experience in corporate law, real estate, governance, compliance, or related areas.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior in-house counsel experience.
• Experience supporting real estate development or property management organizations.
• Experience managing outside counsel relationships.
