Staff Auditor | CPA Firm | Marin County, CA

$125,000 – $150,000/year + Bonus

We are partnering with an established and highly respected CPA firm located in Marin County, California, to identify a talentedStaff Auditorto join their growing team. This firm provides a broad range of business advisory services including audit/assurance/attestation, tax preparation and compliance, business financial planning, forensic accounting, and litigation support. Their client base spans multiple industries, including for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, as well as high-net-worth individuals — all based locally in the Bay Area.

Compensation & Benefits

  • **Base Salary: **$125,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • **Annual Bonus: **8% – 15% (based on compensation, experience, and hours worked)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing and completing audit, review, and compilation engagements
  • Perform special assignments as needed
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with client personnel
  • Effectively communicate and manage client matters
  • Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field(required)
  • Completed all education requirements to sit for the CPA exam
  • 5+ years of accounting experience(preferred)
  • 5+ years working with GAAP(preferred)
  • Audit or attest work experience is a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative team player with a client-first mindset

You should be proficient in:

  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Tax Preparation
  • tax accounting
  • Tax Audit experience
