Staff Engineer Industrial

The SkyWater Austin, Texas site is hiring a Staff Industrial Engineer to serve as a technical and strategic leader within the Industrial Engineering team, applying advanced modeling techniques, data analytics, statistical methods, and factory planning concepts to optimize overall fab performance. The Staff Industrial Engineer will drive long‑range factory strategies, lead cross‑functional initiatives, mentor engineers, and act as a key contributor to major operational and capital planning decisions.Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development of advanced analytics, predictive models, and decision‑support systems that shape long‑term factory strategy and performanceDrive factory-wide initiatives to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Cycle Time, throughput, and bottleneck tool performanceOwn strategic direction for multiple functional areas, creating long‑term roadmaps and aligning improvement plans with business objectivesPartner with Operations leadership to define factory metrics and prioritize high-impact improvementsEngage with on-floor personnel to identify and eliminate tactical factory constraints

Mentor and coach team members at all levels, providing technical leadership on high‑impact projectsPresent data-driven insights and recommendations to factory leadership to influence strategic planning and policy decisions

Develop and improve business processes that elevate the capabilities of the Industrial Engineering team

Required Qualifications:

BS in Industrial Engineering or related technical degree5+ years experience in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated expertise with modeling techniques, statistical methods, and planning tools used in Manufacturing Science and Production ControlProven ability to lead complex projects, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable factory improvementsStrong proficiency with Data Mining & Analytics using ETL tools such as SQL, APF, Google Big Query, Oracle, etc.Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

Semiconductor manufacturing experienceExperience developing and managing Tableau dashboards or similar visualization toolsStrong understanding of APF Real Time Dispatching (RTD)
