Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor"s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in product design or UX.

Preferred qualifications:
12 years of experience in product design or UX.
5 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
3 years of experience working with executive leaders.
Experience with consumer products or consumer ads.
About the job
At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow." Our Interaction Designers transform complex tasks into intuitive, easy-to-use experiences for billions of people. From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.
As an Interaction Designer, you"ll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.
Ads UI is responsible for defining useful core text ads on Search results pages, for the formats and extensions that build upon them, and for collaborating with the Organic Search team to ensure the Search Results Page is optimized for ad performance and ad needs. The design team, along with our partners, is directly responsible for highly-visible experiences that trigger on every Google Search, billions of times a day, and accountable for generating a significant slice of Google"s overall business. As a horizontal team within Search Ads, we also support innovation and best-practice creation in our design tooling.
In Google Search, we"re reimagining what it means to search for information - any way and anywhere. To do that, we need to solve complex engineering challenges and expand our infrastructure, while maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience that people around the world rely on. In joining the Search team, you"ll have an opportunity to make an impact on billions of people globally.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $188000 - $274000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
Influence stakeholders across functions to gain support for design strategies.
Drive the development of innovative design solutions to user, product, and business problems.
Drive a holistic design process, design system, or design language across teams or products.
Drive design solutions based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends that further business outcomes.
Provide direction to UX designers in creating design concepts for product ideation or user research/testing.
