Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
8+ years of experience designing stepper and servo motor systems and pneumatic pumps, valves, and actuators for capital equipment
5+ years of CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred) including SolidWorks PDM and SolidWorks Electrical
Experience in GD&T and quality detail drawing documentation
Thermal Analysis, FEA, CFD, and simulation software experience
Systems-level thinker with experience working on complex mechanical systems
Willing and able to work hands-on to build, integrate, and test newly developed systems
Self-driven, independent thinker with strong written and oral communication skills
Experience with risk analysis methods such as FMEA preferred
Responsibilities:
Research, develop, and design mechanical, electromechanical, and pneumatic prototypes, systems, and subsystems for capital equipment involving stepper or servo motors, pneumatic pumps, and valves
Perform GD&T analysis of designs at system and subsystem level, and conduct system-level integration and validation through testing and troubleshooting
Plan and perform tests to analyze feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, and systems
Drive full documentation of design including BOM, drawings, and procedures, and manage small to mid-sized projects from concept to production
Oversee fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and collaborate with Hardware, Software, and Process teams
