Position Title: Staff Mechanical Engineer Location: Portland, OR Work Arrangement: On-site Position Summary: We are seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and subsystems for multiple Counter UAS and autonomous system programs. This role is ideal for an engineer with approximately 10+ years of experience who is comfortable working in fast paced environments and handling a wide variety of mechanical design tasks—from initial concepts through detailed drawings, prototype builds, and design verification. The Staff ME will work closely with senior engineering leads to implement mechanical architectures, resolve integration issues, and support transition to production. Candidates with defense industry experience, small company adaptability, and familiarity with ruggedized systems are strongly preferred. Required Duties and Responsibilities:

Export Control / ITAR Requirement: This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As a result, employment is contingent upon meeting applicable export control eligibility requirements and compliance obligations. Work Authorization Requirement: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship. Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 annually Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
