Staff Nurse Staff RNs provide direct occupational health services, including clinical care, screenings, emergency response, and support for workplace health programs. Provide emergency and non-emergency medical services, support medical surveillance programs, participate in preventive health and wellness initiatives, maintain accurate documentation and reporting, and support surge or emergency response operations as required. Place of performance: Bureau of Engraving and Printing 9000 Blue Mound Rd Fort Worth, TX, 76131 Schedule Hours: (1) F/T Staff RN (evening shift) and (1) F/T Staff RN (midnight shift) *Position supports a 24/5 operational environment and may require coverage across multiple shifts Requirements: Be licensed to practice in Fort Worth, Texas. Work with web-based computer systems, medical software, Occupational Health and Safety software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite software. Must take CPR/AED training every 2 years and respond to emergencies as first responders. Certified Occupational Health Nurse (Encouraged, not required for Registered Nurse) Must obtain and maintain CAOHC and NIOSH Spirometry certifications as required for the role. Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Support pre-employment, psychological, and fitness-for-duty evaluation services as required, including coordination, review, and clinical input. Provide emergency medical response, conduct preventive screenings, support fitness-for-duty evaluations, and maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with program requirements. Act as the nurse case manager for workers’ compensation cases. Provide all other services normally offered under an Occupational Health Medical Office Services to include audiometry, spirometry screenings, immunizations, and workers’ compensation follow-up. The Staff Nurse shall always wear professional medical attire while within the facility. Perform other duties as assigned. Assist the Medical Director with monitoring any Local, State, or Federal Pandemic mailbox and inform the Medical Director of all urgent matters. Must take the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Spirometry training program (16 hours every 5 years). This training allows the lead nurse to review and interpret spirometry tests (Pulmonary Function Test). Must take Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) training every 5 years. This certification allows the lead nurse to review audiograms, determine the work-relatedness of hearing loss, follow up on work-related hearing loss, and manage audiometric databases. Refer patients to outside medical care when treatment exceeds on-site capabilities. #CB
