Staff Nurse - Surgical Services - Per Diem

Bargaining Unit: EAP

Rate of Pay: $79.54/hour + DOE (Base Pay of $70.71includes 12.5% per diem differential)

SummaryA registered nurse who, utilizing the nursing process, develops a plan of nursing care and then coordinates and delivers care to patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures. Scrubs and circulates all operative services except neuro and cardiac. Coordinates care with other health care providers and provides supervision to other health care providers across the surgical continuum.

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNo supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Education/ExperienceAssociate's Degree Certificate of completion from college or vocational school from a National League of Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or equivalent accredited school of nursing. The nurse shall have completed a nursing education program that included clinical experiences with actual patients under the supervision of qualified faculty.

1-2 years relevant experience

• Within 3 months of hire into job
• NOTE: Employees in this job classification on 12/1/2022 have until June 1, 2023 to obtain a Nevada RN license. Effective December 2022, if hired as a temporary or seasonal RN, must have current CA RN license only.

• Upon hire

• Within 6 months of hire into job

• One year minimum previous operating room experience.

• Membership in AORN and CNOR desirable.
