Job Title: Staff Pharmacist Job Duration: 3 months contract (possible extension) Location: Newburyport, MA 01950 Pay Rate: $55/hr. on W2
Schedule Notes: Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm or 12:30pm-9:00pm, two days, three nights. Training would occur for the first two weeks Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm
Duties:
Interprets physicians' prescriptions and compounds and dispenses medications within regulatory guidelines.
Consults with customers regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions.
Counsels customers and handles complex problem resolution.
Requires a RPh license. This is an onsite role
Consults with nursing and medical staff on prescription orders, patient reactions, and errors or complaints.
Conducts drug utilization reviews and prepares drug review criteria for medical staff approval.

Counsels customers and handles complex problem resolution.
Performing first and second verification of prescription orders, performing DUR’s, outreach to prescriber offices.
Fielding phone calls from patients as well as prescriber’s offices
