Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Recruiter – CDB for a long-term contract opportunity in Kansas City, MO. This position will partner closely with Talent Acquisition professionals and hiring managers to develop and execute recruiting strategies focused on identifying, engaging, and hiring top talent.
The Recruiter will primarily support a Construction Global Practice, recruiting across areas such as estimating, procurement, construction management, project controls, engineering, and other construction-related disciplines. The ideal candidate will have experience sourcing technical and construction professionals and building pipelines for specialized and hard-to-fill positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing and recruiting strategies for current and anticipated hiring needs.
- Build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates using LinkedIn, cold calling, AI-enabled recruiting tools, databases, networking, and other sourcing resources.
- Conduct initial candidate screenings to evaluate qualifications, experience, interest level, geographic preferences, compensation expectations, and overall fit.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements, responsibilities, technical qualifications, and business objectives.
- Identify and recommend qualified candidates to hiring managers.
- Recruit professionals across construction-related disciplines, including estimating, procurement, construction management, project controls, and related technical functions.
- Develop sourcing strategies for specialized and difficult-to-fill positions.
- Effectively communicate the organization's opportunities, benefits, and employee value proposition to prospective candidates.
- Maintain accurate candidate and recruiting activity within the applicant tracking system.
- Maintain confidentiality of personal, proprietary, and sensitive information.
- Ensure recruiting activities comply with applicable employment laws, company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Perform additional recruiting and Talent Acquisition responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of sourcing and/or recruiting experience.
- Experience recruiting or sourcing technical professionals, preferably within the engineering, construction, EPC, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of construction roles, terminology, project delivery methods, and industry talent markets strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a high-volume recruiting environment preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop targeted sourcing strategies and build candidate pipelines for specialized and hard-to-fill positions.
- Strong understanding of Boolean search techniques and their application to internet, LinkedIn, and database sourcing.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and internet-based sourcing tools required.
- Experience utilizing LinkedIn, cold calling, AI-enabled recruiting tools, and other sourcing resources.
- Experience developing, extending, and negotiating employment offers preferred.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work effectively with recruiters, hiring managers, and business leaders across multiple disciplines.
