Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing staffing and workforce solutions provider in Columbus, for an organized and personable Staffing Coordinator. In this role you will be the connective tissue between candidates, field employees, and hiring managers, keeping shifts covered, paperwork clean, and communication fast so operations never miss a beat.
Day to day looks like juggling phone calls, texts, and scheduling software while triple-checking that every assignment has the right person in the right place at the right time. Responsibilities
Coordinate daily staffing schedules and shift assignments for field and temporary employees
Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and employees regarding availability and placements
Process new hire paperwork, onboarding documents, and required compliance forms
Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking and scheduling systems
Communicate daily with hiring managers to confirm staffing needs and fill open shifts
Source, screen, and coordinate interviews for open positions as needed
Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, call-offs, and last-minute staffing gaps
Conduct new employee orientations and safety briefings
Track attendance, timecards, and employee performance feedback
Support recruiting events, job fairs, and community outreach as needed
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree preferred
One to two years of experience in staffing, recruiting, or administrative coordination
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking or scheduling software
Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work on-site and handle occasional early morning or evening coverage needs
Prior experience in a staffing agency or light industrial environment a plus
