Staffing - Mechanical Technician IV

The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm and we are currently seeking a Mechanical Technician IV for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Newton, NC 28658. Details of the position are as follows:

Job Details:

• Pay: $38.00-$40.00/hour to Start!!
• 1-year contract assignment, with potential for extension or conversion based on performance and business needs.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Flexibility may be required to support project completion. Minimal weekend work expected.
• Position may require travel between local facilities in the Newton and Hickory, NC area.
• Position will be responsible for supporting manufacturing equipment installations, capacity expansions, commissioning, and equipment startup activities.
• Position will be responsible for assembling, mounting, and installing mechanical equipment and production systems.
• Position will be responsible for performing mechanical troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and debugging of manufacturing equipment.
• Position will be responsible for supporting equipment alignment, testing, calibration, and process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
• Position will be responsible for working with pneumatics, bearings, gears, motors, and other mechanical systems.
• Position will be responsible for reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Position will be responsible for coordinating equipment installation activities with engineering teams, vendors, and suppliers.
• Position will be responsible for identifying spare parts requirements and maintaining equipment documentation.
• Position will be responsible for supporting equipment changes, startup activities, and operator training as needed.

• High school diploma or GED is Required!
• Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical field is Preferred!
• 2+ years of experience supporting equipment installations in a manufacturing or industrial environment is Required!
• Strong mechanical aptitude is Required!
• Experience building, assembling, mounting, and installing mechanical equipment is Required!
• Experience performing maintenance, installation, and repair of industrial or manufacturing equipment is Required!
• Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting experience involving pneumatics, bearings, gears, and motors is Required!
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical diagnostic equipment is Preferred!
• Experience supporting equipment alignment, testing, and calibration activities is Preferred!
• Equipment startup and commissioning experience is Preferred!
• Experience coordinating with vendors and suppliers is Preferred!
• CAD software experience is Preferred!
• Millwright, welding, or other mechanical/industrial certifications are Preferred!
