Duties Description Produce daily, monthly, and ad-hoc intelligence products focused on artificial intelligence, emerging technology, and AI-enabled threats affecting New York State.

Use artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, and advanced analytical tools to identify relationships, patterns, anomalies, and emerging trends within large volumes of intelligence and law-enforcement data.

Assist NYSIC staff in applying AI-enabled tools to criminal intelligence, counterterrorism, cyber, critical infrastructure, UAS/C-UAS, elections, and other public-safety intelligence missions.

Develop and use AI-supported workflows for report summarization, entity resolution, link analysis, timeline generation, information prioritization, and comparison of current activity against historical patterns.

Monitor the malicious use of artificial intelligence, including deepfakes, synthetic media, AI-enabled fraud, social engineering, cyber activity, influence operations, and other emerging threats.

Evaluate AI-generated analytical outputs for accuracy, reliability, bias, and relevance prior to incorporation into intelligence products or investigative support.

Assist in the testing, evaluation, and implementation of AI-enabled intelligence platforms, analytical tools, and emerging technologies.

Support the integration and analysis of authorized data sources, including criminal intelligence, LPR data, BOLOs, open-source information, cyber indicators, UAS detections, critical infrastructure reporting, and partner intelligence into AI-enabled platforms.

Provide oral briefings on AI-related threats, emerging technologies, analytical findings, and other topics as requested by NYSIC customers and partners.

Attend meetings, conferences, trainings, and seminars to maintain current knowledge of artificial intelligence, data analytics, intelligence tradecraft, and emerging technology.

Ensure AI-supported analysis complies with applicable New York State policies, privacy requirements, 28 CFR Part 23, CJIS requirements, and intelligence-handling standards.

Maintain human oversight of AI-supported analysis. AI-generated information is intended to assist analysts and investigators and does not replace human validation or analytical judgment.

Performance of these duties may require frequent, unscheduled overtime, including evenings and weekends. Travel to conferences and trainings nationwide may be required. Candidate must be eligible for a national security clearance at the SECRET level or above.

Minimum Qualifications 7 years of relevant professional experience (office or academic) performing functions in which you clearly demonstrated a working knowledge of computer science, intelligence analysis, data analytics, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
