This role will lead the development and deployment of a standardized SPC and Process Control Systems (PCS) framework across manufacturing sites in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Taiwan. The successful candidate will partner closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Information Technology teams to reduce process variation, improve yield performance, and accelerate data-driven decision making through advanced analytics and digital manufacturing solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute the enterprise SPC/PCS strategy to drive process capability improvement, variation reduction, and manufacturing excellence across all AFT sites.
    • Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and governance of SPC software, process data historians, analytics platforms, and other digital manufacturing technologies.
    • Establish standardized process control systems, procedures, and performance metrics across global manufacturing operations.
    • Periodically assess SPC/PCS effectiveness and align roadmap priorities with business and functional leadership objectives.
    • Conduct site assessments and audits to ensure compliance with established process control standards and procedures.
    • Build organizational capability through training, coaching, and mentoring of operators, engineers, quality professionals, and site leaders.
    • Analyze process performance data to identify trends, sources of variation, and opportunities for corrective and preventive action.
    • Lead cross-functional investigations and problem-solving activities related to process instability, yield loss, and product quality concerns.
    • Develop KPI dashboards, statistical monitoring systems, and automated alerts to improve process visibility and decision making.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing SPC, Control Plans, FMEA, Six Sigma methodologies, DOE, MSA/GRR, and other statistical tools.
    • Serve as the global subject matter expert for statistical methods, process control strategy, measurement systems, and manufacturing analytics.
    • Support customer, regulatory, and third-party quality audits while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other applicable standards.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated success implementing SPC, PCS, and digital manufacturing solutions in a production environment.
    • Proven experience selecting, deploying, and integrating manufacturing information systems, including SPC software, data historians, LIMS, and analytics platforms.
    • Strong knowledge of statistical methods, process capability analysis, DOE, MSA/GRR, FMEA, Six Sigma, and process control systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives through influence across multiple manufacturing sites and functional organizations.
    • High level of proficiency with statistical and analytical tools such as JMP, Python, R, Minitab, or equivalent platforms.
    • Excellent communication, project management, and change leadership skills.
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Export Control Requirement: Due to U.S. export control regulations, candidates must be U.S. citizens or U.S. lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders).
