Title: Statutory Accounting Manager (Contract) - Insurance

Description:
We're seeking a hands-on ("doer") Statutory Accounting Manager to support a lean team through year-end and first-quarter close. The ideal candidate brings deep P&C insurance experience and can jump in immediately on NAIC Yellow Book deliverables and statutory reporting.
What You'll Do
• Own preparation and filing of NAIC and state statutory reports, schedules, and related reconciliations.
• Prepare and post statutory journal entries; review non-admitted asset reconciliations.
• Partner cross-functionally to gather data, validate results, and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Provide practical process improvements and support ad-hoc projects within Statutory Accounting.
Must-Haves
• Insurance industry (P&C) experience with strong knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) and Yellow Book.
• Demonstrated experience preparing statutory schedules & reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel (complex formulas; large-data manipulation).
• Proficiency with GL/reporting systems; comfort working in a small, fast-moving team.
Nice-to-Haves
• Experience with statutory/reporting tools such as Sovos/Wings, GAIN Compliance, Cognos, TM1, Alteryx, Workday, or OneStream.
