    Description

    The RoleThe Statutory Reporting Accountant manages the end-to-end statutory reporting cycle and local GAAP compliance for multiple European entities, bridging the gap between US GAAP, IFRS, and local requirements. This role requires a 'deep-dive' analytical mindset to resolve technical accounting queries and leads the coordination of complex year‑end audits to ensure seamless regulatory integrity across borders.What You'll DoDrive end-to-end statutory reporting process for several European countriesInterpret and align disparate financial reporting frameworks (US GAAP, IRFS, and Local GAAP) quantifying technical variances and executing adjustmentsCollaborate as the technical liaison and local expert, ensuring the successful transition to our new regional accounting and tax partnerEnable the Pillar 2 reconciliation process, ensuring alignment with international requirementsAdvance statutory workstreams for critical finance system projects such as ERP tax bundles and localization module implementationsEmbed statutory compliance workflows to enable audit readiness and mitigate riskSpearhead the audit process, aligning with external auditors and tax authorities while acting as the point of contact for initial response to technical inquiriesEngage with internal teams (GL, Tax, Legal) and external partners to ensure accounting and data excellenceMaintain regulatory compliance by proactively tracking evolving European accounting standards and VAT legislationRequirements4+ years of proven experience in a fast-paced, multinational environment, specifically owning the end-to-end statutory reporting cycle for multiple European entities.A strong background in financial reporting with a focus on complex statutory filings and financial statement preparation.Demonstrated experience supporting the statutory audit processACCA, CIMA, CPA, or a recognized national equivalent (e.g., Chartered Accountant)Met rigorous statutory deadlines while managing high-volume workloads independentlyClearly communicated technical accounting and GAAP-to-Stat reconciliations to auditorsExcel proficiency for complex data reconciliation and reportingNice to HaveGrowing knowledge of ESRS and CSRD frameworksPractical experience with E-reporting and (i)XBRL tagging, ensuring digital filings meet regulatory technical standards.Active involvement in M&A integrations and legal entity liquidations, providing accounting support for balance sheet migrations and closing entries.Skilled in utilizing automation and data visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI) to improve the speed and transparency of statutory reconciliations.Perks & BenefitsFlexibility and autonomy to Work AnywhereGlasses & Commuting Cost ReimbursementLife & Private Medical InsuranceCafeteria PolicyAllocation for charitable givingSelection of fitness classes offered weeklyHealthy free snacks provided every day and lunch on Tuesdays and WednesdaysVeeva break: additional company paid holidays over Christmas period (generally from December 24 to January 1)CompensationTotal compensation: 8,000,000 - 12,000,000 HUFThe total compensation range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential total compensation range for this role.
