Job Title: Steel Construction Project Manager

Job Description & Responsibilities

Manage multiple structural steel and miscellaneous metal projects from contract award through fabrication, delivery, erection, and final completion.
Review contracts, project specifications, scope of work, and project documentation.
Review structural drawings, shop drawings, and erection plans while coordinating with engineers, architects, and general contractors.
Coordinate fabrication, procurement, vendors, material deliveries, and field installation teams.
Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, labor costs, and profitability.
Coordinate crane requirements, ironworker crews, manpower allocation, and field logistics.
Prepare and negotiate change orders and assess their cost and schedule impacts.
Maintain communication with clients, contractors, owners, and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, applicable codes, inspections, and site safety requirements.
Manage RFIs, submittals, progress reports, payment applications, and other project documentation.

Job Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
Proven experience managing projects in structural steel construction, fabrication, or erection.
Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, shop drawings, installation, and field operations.
Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, procurement, and change orders.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
