Steel Erection BD Manager - Midwest Growth

An AISC-certified Michigan steel erector is hiring a permanent full-time Business Development Manager to land Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Compensation is $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, and the role includes Midwest travel.

Your mandate

• Build a steady flow of steel erection work from owners and general contractors
• Shape pursuits on major structural packages of 5,000+ tons
• Monitor bid timing, competitor positioning, and regional pipelines
• Travel the Midwest to grow accounts and push pursuits to award
• Stand for an AISC-certified Michigan erector in client meetings and forums

Ideal experience

• BD or sales background in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Success chasing large-tonnage Midwest projects
• Preferred network among general contractors, fabricators, or owners
• Comfortable traveling throughout the Midwest
• Clear communicator who closes work
