Registered Nurse (RN) - LTACH/Stepdown Acuity
Shift: Nights Available
Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week
Rotation: Every Other Weekend Required

13 week assignment - highly likely to renew

Pay Rate: $52/hour
Locals & Travelers Accepted (Contact for traveler stipend package details.)

• Acuity:
  • Highest acuity would be those patients on vents with vasoactive drips that we are titrating up.
  • Lowest acuity would be a patient getting 6-8 weeks of IV antibiotics.
  • Critical Drips include Vasopressin, Levophed, Dopamine and some sedations as we titrate the drip UP.
  • Once we start titrating the drip down or we are not titrating at the time, the drip is no longer critical.
  • Drips like Amiodarone, Heparin, NonTitrated Cardizem, and such are not considered critical drips
• Nurse Patient Ratios
  • Typical load is 4-5:1 (you will have patients w/trachs and some on stable vents)
  • High acuity patients will result in a 2-3:1
• EHR
  • We are on EPIC
  • Our nurses are expected to draw their own labs
  • We use Omnicell for Med dispense.

Requirements:
Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Critical Care Unit experience highly preferred

Clinical Skills Required:

• Comfortable caring for patients with tracheostomies (trachs)
• Experience managing critical care drips
• Experience caring for ventilated patients
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
