Title: Registered Nurse - Stepdown
Duration: 13 weeks
Address: 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY 14642
Schedule: Floating Shift  3*12s  36hours/week

• Shift: D/E/N rotating shifts

• Hours: 36 or 48 hrs/week

• Schedule: Weekends, holidays, on-call/callback, and charge duties per unit needs

• License: Active NY State RN license required

• Experience: Minimum 2 years; stepdown/PCU experience mandatory

• Required Certifications: BLS and NIHSS

• Preferred Certification: ACLS

• Telemetry: Required

• Clinical Experience: High-acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required

• Patient Population: Brain tumors, spinal malformations, neuroendovascular procedures, epilepsy surgery, and high-acuity neurological patients

• Key Skills: Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar/subdural drains, 3% saline, Cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coiling/clipping, DBS insertion, VP shunts, and seizure management

• Unit Details: Mixed-acuity neurosurgical unit with an 8-bed high-acuity stepdown unit requiring hemodynamic and neurological monitoring.
