    Job Summary

    Job Shift: Evenings

    Job Type: Full Time

    The Sterile Processing Tech performs sterilization and decontamination procedures to ensure quality Instrumentation is provided for patient care. Maintains supplies and equipment for use in patient care. Monitors inventory to ensure that patient needs are met. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

    Responsibilities

    • Performs decontamination procedure according to policy.
    • Performs sterilization procedure according to departmental policy.
    • Performs and oversees clerical functions related to maintenance of logbooks, inventory, trays.
    • Maintains Patient care Equipment
    • Provides Professional Leadership and Direction to Staff.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications

    • High school graduate or equivalent
    • Able to communicate in English fluently (written and verbal).
    • Certified central service technician or certification acquired within two (2) years 15+ yrs experience in lieu of certification acceptable
    • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

    Minimum Experience

    • Required: Certified technician or to be acquired within two (2) years (15+ yrs experience in lieu of certification acceptable)
    • Desired: 1 year experience as a sterile processing technician.
