Sterile Processing Technician

Summary:

Location: Children's Hospital Colorado – Colorado Springs Campus

Shift: 8-Hour Evenings (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)

Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Responsibilities:

• Provide sterile processing services in a collaborative, team-oriented environment serving pediatric patients.
• Complete competencies and obtain sign-off before starting independent work.
• Follow daily assignments provided by department leadership.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum 1 Year Sterile Processing Experience
• Minimum 1 Year Specialty Experience
• Previous Travel Experience with successful completion of multiple assignments, including at least one with more than two extensions
• Pediatric Experience
• Endoscope/Scope Reprocessing Experience
• Required Certifications: CRCST or CBSPD

Preferred Skills:

• CIS Certification
• CER Certification

Additional Information:

• No RTO approved during the first two weeks of the assignment.
• Medical and religious exemption requests for the seasonal influenza vaccination will be considered.
• Scope/endoscope reprocessing experience is required for all candidates.
• Pediatric experience is required for all candidates.
