Overview<\/u><\/b>

Sterile Processing Technician's responsibilities include retrieving contaminated supplies and delivering sterile supplies, maintaining inventory, and preparing sterile instrument trays for surgeries, examinations, and procedures.
<\/div>

We're looking for a self -starter who can manage their time effectively. The role requires drive and a sense of accountability because the day -to -day working environment will involve very little direct supervision.

Responsibilities:
<\/div>

<\/div>
  • Collecting used and contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies for sorting and decontamination.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Manually cleaning supplies of contaminants, removing waste matter, and operating and maintaining decontamination equipment.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Preparing and packing decontaminated supplies for sterilization.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Monitoring and operating sterilization equipment.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Examining supplies meticulously to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Testing and reporting any issues or problems with the sterilization equipment.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Sterilizing, preparing, wrapping, and organizing equipment into instrument trays for use during medical procedures.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Preparing and delivering all necessary equipment and instruments for surgeries, examinations, medical procedures, and medical carts.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Maintaining records of sterilization procedures, sterilized items, equipment maintenance, and supplies.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Controlling the inventory, reordering supplies, and checking expiration dates.
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Other duties as assigned.

      Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements

      • High school diploma or equivalent
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Work experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand medical terminology in order to follow written instructions and complete various forms and records regarding equipment’s processing and preparation of equipment’s.
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Must be able to regularly lift to 30 lbs., stand for 8 hours, stoop, bend, pull, and push as required.
