Job title Milk and Cookies - Back of House Steward Reports to General Manager, Milk & Cookies Classification Hourly- Non Exempt
Duties and responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enableindividuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The primary job duties and responsibilities of the BOH Steward include, but are not limited to the following:
Gathering & washing dishes throughout the shift
Taking out trash inside and outside Milk and Cookies
Maintaining cleanliness of storage area and kitchen
Cleaning ovens, coils as needed
Special cleaning projects
Outside grounds keeping
Power washing sidewalk in front of Milk & Cookies and around the bank
Prep work as needed
Receive/Put Away deliveries - Sysco, paper goods, pastry drops, etc.
Assists with special projects when needed.
Qualifications:
Tiny Boxwoods Productions require the minimum qualifications to successfully perform the position of a Steward.
Texas Food Handlers certificate
Sanitation Certification
Excellent guest service skills
Good memory
Flexible availability in scheduling
Capacity to multitask
Ability to work as part of a team
Working Conditions:
The incumbent will be working in a restaurant setting in the kitchen and dish area. Temperature is generally moderate and controlled, however incumbent must be able to work in extreme temperatures, as the kitchen may reach temperatures above 100°F. Potential hazards include but are not limited to cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
Physical Requirements:
The incumbent is required to stand/walk for long periods of time. Incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, and see. This position is very active and requires the ability to bend, stoop, and twist, as well as to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Incumbent must be able to constantly move in the kitchen and dish area where space may be limited. Incumbent must be able to use their hands to lift, handle or control objects or tools. Incumbent must be able to perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time. It is necessary for this position to react quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
