Your Impact

As a Store Operations Support – Execution Intern at Lowe’s, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the strategies, processes, and initiatives that help Lowe’s stores execute effectively and consistently.

You’ll work alongside Store Operations professionals and cross-functional partners to understand how corporate strategies are translated into actionable plans for stores. Through project-based work, you’ll help identify opportunities to simplify execution, improve operational consistency, support associates, and create a seamless experience for Lowe’s customers.

This internship is ideal for students interested in combining operations, project management, process improvement, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to solve real-world retail challenges.

Summer Internship Program

Our 10-week Summer Internship Program, May 24 – July 30, 2027, provides an immersive opportunity to gain real-world experience within a FORTUNE® 100 home improvement company.

You’ll work directly with Lowe’s professionals and business leaders while contributing to meaningful projects, building your professional network, and gaining exposure to how enterprise initiatives are developed, communicated, and executed across a large retail organization.

This internship is based at the Lowe’s Store Support Center in Mooresville, North Carolina (SSC-M). Our corporate campus provides an environment where you can collaborate with business partners, develop professional relationships, and gain exposure to teams responsible for supporting Lowe’s stores and associates across the country.

What You Will Learn

As a Store Operations Support – Execution Intern, you may gain experience in:

• Understanding how enterprise initiatives and operational strategies are translated into executable plans for Lowe’s stores.
• Supporting the planning, coordination, communication, and execution of store operations initiatives.
• Evaluating current processes and identifying opportunities to simplify work and improve execution at the store level.
• Analyzing operational data, store feedback, and business trends to identify opportunities and develop recommendations.
• Understanding how store execution impacts associate productivity, customer experience, and overall business performance.
• Supporting project timelines, deliverables, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
• Developing clear communications, resources, or implementation materials to support store teams.
• Gathering feedback from stores and business partners to understand execution challenges and opportunities.
• Collaborating with cross-functional partners across Store Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Technology, Marketing, and other business functions.
• Using data and insights to measure the effectiveness of operational initiatives.
• Presenting project findings, insights, and recommendations to business partners and leadership through effective storytelling.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Retail Management, Analytics, Project Management, or a related field.
• Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
• Ability to work at Lowe’s Store Support Center in Mooresville, North Carolina for the duration of the internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Skills / Experience

• 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Interest or experience in retail operations, project management, process improvement, or business analytics.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Experience developing presentations and communicating findings to an audience.
• Previous retail, internship, academic project, leadership, or related professional experience is preferred.
• Passion for improving processes and creating solutions that support both associates and customers.
