Strategic Planning Manager

The Strategic Planning Manager, reporting directly to the Director of Development Finance, will be a key business partner to the senior management team. The Manager of Strategic Planning will be responsible for oversight, development, and maintenance of the long-range financial planning model. A leader in the Finance Department, the Manager will oversee analysis to highlight actions to improve financial performance and help establish new or improve existing reporting systems and processes that create transparency and improve forecast accuracy required to make key business decisions.

• Own the long-range planning (LRP) financial model end to end, including architecture, assumptions, data integrity, version control and documentation, ensuring it remains the single source of truth for the company's 5-year plan
• Model the pro forma financial impacts of potential organic and inorganic growth opportunities (new developments, expansions, acquisitions, divestitures and partnerships), including scenario and sensitivity analysis to inform capital allocation decisions
• Monitor the company's liquidity position and covenant headroom across the planning horizon; identify and quantify future funding needs and recommend financing alternatives in partnership with Corporate Development and Capital Markets teams
• Prepare and present the 5-year plan and related pro forma analyses to executive leadership, the Board of Directors and private equity sponsors, including supporting materials, bridges and key-assumption summaries
• Partner with operations, development, accounting and FP&A to source model inputs, validate assumptions and reconcile the LRP to the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and actual results
• Drive continuous improvement of the LRP model and planning process, including enhancements to scenario-planning capabilities, reporting outputs and integration with OneStream or other planning systems
• Other ad hoc analysis and duties as assigned

 

Minimum Requirements:

·         Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines

·         Required proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced modeling experience) and PowerPoint

·         Exceptional analytical/problem-solving skills with the ability to create actionable information and solutions

·         Strong interpersonal skills

·         Adaptable to a changing work environment and shifting priorities

·         Ability to effectively engage employees and build relationships across the company at all levels

·         Ability to effectively communicate with strong presence, including translation of complex topics into executive narratives

·         Ability to think strategically and understand short- and long-term implications of various recommendations/actions

 

Education: This position requires at least five years of progressive Finance experience. It also requires in-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles. Experience with OneStream or similar software is a plus. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
