Summary:

Goldbelt is seeking a qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach (SCC) to support the U.S. Army Reserve's Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Performance Team. The SCC serves as a subject matter expert responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering evidence-based physical readiness programs designed to improve Soldier performance, reduce musculoskeletal injury risk, and enhance overall operational readiness.

 

Working as part of an interdisciplinary Human Performance Team, the SCC collaborates closely with the Registered Dietitian, Cognitive Performance Specialist, Athletic Trainer, Government leadership, and H2F Integration Teams to support Army Reserve units throughout the Indo-Pacific region.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and implement command-specific Physical Readiness Training Programs (PRTP) and Special Conditioning Programs (SCP) in accordance with Army Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) doctrine.
  • Design and deliver evidence-based strength and conditioning programs that improve Soldier readiness, physical performance, and Army Fitness Test (AFT) outcomes.
  • Conduct physical performance assessments and provide instruction on proper exercise techniques, movement mechanics, and injury prevention.
  • Develop educational materials, training resources, exercise templates, and physical readiness tools tailored to the Army Reserve operational environment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary Human Performance Team members to integrate physical readiness, nutrition, injury prevention, and cognitive performance strategies.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of reconditioning programs for Soldiers returning from injury.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to H2F Integration Teams (HITs), Master Fitness Trainers (MFTs), and unit leadership.
  • Participate in planning meetings, working groups, and synchronization sessions with Government personnel.
  • Prepare required reports, after-action reviews, and documentation in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Complete all mandatory Government and installation training requirements.
  • Maintain all required certifications throughout employment.
  • Support recurring travel requirements throughout the Pacific region.
Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to develop and implement periodized strength and conditioning programs.
  • Strong understanding of injury prevention and movement mechanics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with military leadership and Soldiers.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last four (4) years designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for tactical populations, military personnel, collegiate athletes, or professional athletic teams.
  • Must possess one of the following:
    • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA); or
    • Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification with AED.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Travel Required: Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, Guam, American Samoa, Japan, and South Korea; A valid U.S. passport or the ability to obtain one if needed is required.
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance

    • Army Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) 
    • Human Performance Optimization (HPO)
    • Tactical Human Optimization, Rapid Rehabilitation and Reconditioning (THOR3)
    • Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF)
    • Military Human Performance programs
    • Collegiate or professional athletics
    • Tactical strength and conditioning
    • Return-to-duty and reconditioning programs
    • Knowledge of Army H2F doctrine and physical readiness principles.

 

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000.
