Our client is currently seeking a Structural Engineer.

Summary:
  • The Structural Design Engineer will coordinate, design, review and submit proposals, and serve as the Engineer of Record on a variety structural engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
  • The successful candidate will report to the President and be responsible for carrying out tasks that are delegated in a timely and professional manner.
  • The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for the origination and review of structural design work, which includes, but is not limited to design criteria, calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Engage in quality assurance, code compliance, permit identification and submittal, engineering studies, inspections, and structural investigations
  • Review and implement surveys, borings and foundation design and analysis
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines on technical resolution and project development, status, and delivery.
Requirements:
  • A BS or MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and experience in a position with emphasis on structural design and analysis
  • PE registration preferred, EIT acceptable
  • AutoCAD, Revit would be preferred
  • RAM Steel and Frame
  • Ram Elements
  • ENERCALC
  • Focus on light gauge steel
  • Experience in the analysis and design of steel, light gauge steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry structures for static and dynamic loading from foundation to super structure
  • Experience in the use of finite elements on complex structures and use of application software in structural design
  • Extensive experience in the planning review, layout and details of contract drawings, specifications, shop drawings, field inspections and investigations; independent usage of resources in the application of code requirements and preparation of technical reports
  • Experience in the understanding of industry and regulatory practices and trends
Pay Range:
  • $75 – 105K, depending on experience
