Join our growing team and play a crucial role in supporting all aspects of the construction process through innovative design engineering, risk mitigation, and ensuring the safety of our construction crews.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a dynamic team to brainstorm conceptual designs and perform structural calculations for various construction projects.
Design and analyze temporary structures for bridge erection, cofferdam design, critical crane lifts, and other construction-related tasks.
Evaluate existing structures for construction loads and develop demolition plans as necessary.
Ensure stability during temporary conditions of new bridges, viaducts, buildings, tunnels, and other structures through structural analysis.
Perform or review calculations and design drawings in accordance with industry codes, standards, and client criteria.
Assist in identifying design risks and developing mitigation plans to ensure project success.
Support Project Management and Estimators by providing input on budgets, schedules, quality control, and client coordination.
Provide on-site design engineering support, conduct inspections, and mentor Engineering Interns in the field.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Masters degree or higher in Structural Engineering preferred.
5-7 years of relevant engineering experience, with a focus on temporary structures and/or construction engineering.
Professional Engineer licensure (PE) or eligibility within the United States.
Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Civil 3D, and Finite Element Analysis Software.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project assignments.
Willingness and ability to access all points of a construction site in various climates and environments.
