Occasional site visits and client meetings provide hands-on involvement and strengthen project relationships, making this a dynamic and rewarding career opportunity.Why You Want This Position: Live and work in the beautiful Kalispell, Montana Well-established firm that is secure and growing A multidiscipline firm with a wide range of project work $100,000 starting salary, depending on experience Outstanding benefits to include 100% paid medical, vision, flex, 401K with 100% match up to 3%, paid holidays, 3 weeks of PTO the first year, paid licensing and continued education, paid education reimbursement, Costco and health club paid membership, plus a cell phone Excellent and higher than average starting salary and bonus structure Profit Sharing BonusesEssential Functions and Duties: Independently lead structural design staff throughout the project design and construction phases Identify and solve problems with a goal to provide appropriate and constructable solutions Work in a multi-discipline team environment to manage the development, design, and implementation of structural concepts, systems, drawings, and specifications Coordinate with external suppliers, internal design teams, and manufacturers Ensure structural designs meet company quality standards Use various software packages to calculate gravity, lateral, and foundation loads Respond to contractors during the construction processQualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 5+ years of post-graduate experience Licensed Structural Professional Engineer (PE); SE designation preferred but not required Proven design experience with wood, steel, concrete, and masonry structural systems Strong knowledge of building codes, value engineering, and industry best practices Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently or within a team Effective communicator with strong written, verbal, and mentorship skills Proficient in Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, Autodesk Revit, and structural design software (Enercalc, RISA, Simpson, Woodworks preferred)Get in touch!
