Structural Engineer / Structural Designer (Remote – U.S.)

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a growing engineering firm that specializes in commercial and multifamily building design across structural, MEP, and specialty construction projects. The team operates in a lean, highly collaborative environment where engineers have direct ownership of their work, exposure to multiple disciplines, and the ability to grow quickly.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role designed to support increasing project demand. The position is intentionally flexible in level—we are open to engineers and designers from a range of backgrounds who can contribute to structural design and project execution.

What You’ll Do

• Support structural design for multifamily and commercial construction projects
• Contribute to foundation, framing, and structural system layouts (concrete, steel, wood)
• Interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and MEP teams to ensure coordinated designs
• Assist with RFIs, project coordination, and construction-phase support
• Participate in site observations and design adjustments as needed
• Ensure designs align with applicable codes and standards

What We’re Looking For

We’re intentionally open on background. Strong candidates may come from:

• Structural Engineering
• MEP / HVAC Engineering with building design exposure
• Structural Design / Drafting with construction experience

Core Qualifications:

• 2–6+ years of experience in structural, MEP, or building design environments
• Experience with commercial and/or multifamily projects
• Working knowledge of structural systems (concrete, steel, foundations)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

Nice to Have (Not Required):

• EIT or PE license
• Experience with structural analysis tools (RISA, STAAD, etc.)
• MEP coordination experience
• Tilt-wall or foundation design exposure
• Experience in smaller or fast-paced engineering environments
