Structural Steel Erection Sales Manager - BD

Looking for your next business development seat? An AISC-certified Michigan steel erector is hiring a permanent full-time Business Development Manager to win Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Pay is $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, and the role includes Midwest travel.

Your role

• Travel across the Midwest meeting clients and moving pursuits forward
• Open doors with general contractors and owners for new steel erection work
• Plan and run pursuits on major structural packages of 5,000+ tons
• Watch bid schedules, competitor moves, and project forecasts across the region
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector with clients and at industry functions

You likely have

• Sales or BD experience with a steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction company
• Experience competing for large Midwest tonnage work
• A network among general contractors, fabricators, or owners (preferred)
• Willingness to travel around the Midwest
• Strong communication skills and a habit of turning leads into wins
