Structural Steel Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for structural steel projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection and be comfortable reviewing plans, specifications, and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates and bids for structural steel projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Perform material and quantity takeoffs.
• Obtain and evaluate material, fabrication, and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and erection costs.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids.
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, customers, and internal teams.
• Track bid opportunities and follow up as needed.
• Assist with change orders and project pricing when necessary.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of structural steel or steel fabrication estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
• Experience with material and quantity takeoffs.
• Strong math, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
