Structural Steel Project Manager / Estimator

An established steel fabricator and erector serving Parkville and the Kansas City Northland is hiring an Estimator / Project Manager for its structural and miscellaneous steel packages. This position is built for an early- to mid-career professional ready to take on estimating and project leadership in one role.

Key duties:

• Track costs on active projects and manage RFIs and submittals
• Estimate and take off structural and miscellaneous steel packages
• Lead awarded work through fabrication and erection, owning schedule, budget, and change orders
• Assemble bids and proposals, including quotes for detailing, erection, and coatings
• Serve as the link between general contractors, detailers, the shop, and field crews

Requirements:

• 2-8 years in steel estimating, project management, or a related construction field
• Comfortable reading architectural and structural drawings
• Knowledge of structural and miscellaneous metals scopes
• Estimating software experience is a plus
• Engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent experience, preferred

Compensation: $75,000 - $105,000 per year, plus a sign-on bonus for top candidates coming from competitors and a yearly bonus opportunity.
