Structural Welders - Bunker - Dayshift

BlueWave is hiring a Structural Welder for an aerospace organization in the Cape Canaveral, Florida area. As a Structural Welder, you will perform carbon-steel welding and support large-scale structural installation activities in an active outdoor construction environment. This day-shift role requires working at elevated heights and maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding on heavy carbon-steel components.
• Use flux-core and stick welding processes to complete assigned welds.
• Support structural steel erection and installation activities.
• Perform welding work safely at elevated heights.
• Follow AWS structural welding standards and site safety procedures.
• Coordinate with construction crews to complete scheduled work.
• Maintain quality and productivity during extended outdoor shifts.

Requirements

• At least four years of structural welding experience.
• Current AWS D1.1 certification.
• Experience with flux-core and stick welding processes.
• Strong experience welding carbon steel.
• Ability to pass an onsite weld test.
• Ability to work safely at elevated heights.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in outdoor conditions.
• Experience in heavy industrial construction, structural steel, steel erection, shipyard, bridge, power generation, or similar environments preferred.
• Strong reliability, teamwork, and safety awareness.

Employment Type: Contract, onsite in the Cape Canaveral, Florida area; day shift with an extended workweek and overtime based on project needs.
